Detroit will host the 2014 NASFiC, Kevin Standlee is reporting. Detroit edged Phoenix 231-210. The official announcement will be made at the Sunday Business Meeting, and the winner will name its guests.

Detroit can certainly use the economic shot in the arm a NASFiC would bring, if it’s actually going to be in the city and not one of the wealthier suburbs.
It’s going to be in downtown Detroit.
It’s a nice area, I think out of towners unfamiliar with Detroit will be surprised.
