2016 Goodreads Choice Awards Semifinialists

The 2016 Goodreads Choice Awards semifinalists have been posted. At the end of the first round of voting five write-ins were added to each category (none of the original nominees were eliminated).

For example, added to the Best Science Fiction category were Night Without Stars by Peter F. Hamilton, Kill Process by William Hertling, Crosstalk by Connie Willis, ,A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers, and Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee.

The next round of voting continues through November 13.

  1. I still think Ninefox Gambit is a fantasy in the Metropolitan mode… 🙂 But yay! It gets my vote.

  2. I hate it when sites give covers but don’t also type the author and title. Sometimes I can’t read the cover through the cover art, or it uses a difficult font. Example: the “best horror” candidate third down, farthest left. NO idea what that book is, or who it’s by.

  3. The title is “My Best Friend’s Exorcism.” Click on the cover and it gets bigger. Hit the “control” key and scroll with your mouse and it gets bigger still. But yeah, it would be great to have the title and author typed.

  4. On Windows with a Chrome browser at least, I get a pop-up with title, author, and more when I hover over the cover. Clicking the cover goes to the book’s Goodreads page.
