BEST NONFICTION (BIENNIAL)
- Black Hands: Inside the Bain family murders (Martin Van Beynen, PRHNZ).
INAUGURAL PRIZE FOR NOVEL FOR YOUNGER READERS

I quite enjoy Marsh’s work but that trophy is ugly as all get out.
Oddly, I was coming to say entirely the opposite! I thought that trophy was pretty smart and quite clever. I guess it depends how big it is, mind.
I think it’s a gorgeous trophy, and really captures the essence of Ngaio Marsh. I’d much rather have that on my shelf than the old WFA trophy.
