Cats Sleep on SFF: The Mind-Twisters Affair

Dale Nelson’s red-ginger tomcat kitten is Giles, from Tolkien’s red-bearded farmer of Ham.  The Mind-Twisters Affair was a media tie-in novel of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. co-written by Buck Coulson, producer with Juanita of the fanzine Yandro. Nelson says, “I’ve just arrived at the point where Napoleon Solo is going to investigate a locally-disliked fellow named Whateley, who operates TV station WHPL.”

Cats Sleep on SFF: Fantasy Literature: A Readers Guide

Joe H. presents us with two cats not actually sleeping on not-quite-SFF.

Signy (front) and Mallory (behind). One of the books is Neil Barron’s Fantasy Literature: A Reader’s Guide.  And books about dinosaurs and cosmology are at least adjacent, aren’t they?

Cats Sleep on SFF: The End of All Things

Katrina Templeton introduces us to a rare cat who really is sleeping on sff:

This is Winter. Poor boy isn’t doing so well right now, so I grabbed a random book from my room and tucked it under him. I really hope, now that I look at it, that it doesn’t turn out to be apropos. We could use all the best wishes and help we can get right now.

There is a “Winter Needs Help!” GoFundMe active right now. Check it out.

Cats Sleep on SFF: Aurora Borealis Bridge

Jane Lindskold, who had three books out last year, recently shared a photo of her cats Mei-Ling and Persephone admiring Library of the Sapphire Wind. Based on a comment that those cats were awake, we decided to push the envelope even further with this beautiful guinea pig.

Here is Dandy (short for Dandelion) in a photo my husband took last year with her admiring all three of my last year’s releases.  Please note, she is wide awake and lovely.

Cats Sleep on SFF: The Spare Man

Doug Piero Carey shares a photo of a lamented friend:

Here is Luna Lovegood perched on The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal. Sadly, Luna passed away a few weeks after this pic was taken due to a long bout of congestive heart failure. Luna had appeared in the halls of more than one con hotel, and was a good fan. We miss her badly.
