Stan Lee celebrates his 90th birthday today, December 28, reports Michael Cavna of Comic Riffs who adds:
Although he had pacemaker surgery this past fall, Lee defies a sense of seeming “old.,” forever moving like a human torch of kinetic energy. He even wrote in September upon his return: “In an effort to be more like my fellow Avenger, Tony Stark, I have had an electronic pace-maker placed near my heart to insure that I’ll be able to lead thee for another 90 years!”

“Lead thee?” Goddamn it. This is why I don’t like Stan Lee — apart from pilfering too much credit for Marvel characters and ideas. Like a certain “sci-fi” celebrity, he never grew up and continues to think he’s cute speaking down to his readers. Get clue, Stan. Marvel is just a comic book factory, and most of its product is trash. It produces a lot of 2nd. rate action-adventure movies now that began to bore me a while ago, and belongs to Disney anyway… And you are only one of *several* key people who brought us all that…
I presume he got a lot of Stan Lee presents.
