ESFS Award Nominations

The nominees for the European Science Fiction Society Hall of Fame and Spirit of Dedication awards have been announced. The winners will be selected by the delegates to the ESFS general meeting at the 36th Eurocon, Shamrokon, which will take place in Dublin later this month.

  1. I wonder how they manage this. Even if a panel of judges makes the decision who to award, how many people are qualified to discuss authors in 11 different languages? Or who know about the book business in more than one or two countries? How much can the award even mean to the average European reader, who may recognize one name on the ballot every few years?
