Architecture Discussion at Clarke Center for Human Imagination 10/22

Alisa Andrasek at Clarke Center COMP“Digital Materiality at Urban Scale: Increased Resolution Fabrics of Architecture” will be the topic discussed by Alisa Andrasek, founder of Biothing, on October 22. Andrasek is an architect, academic and curator and a partner of Bloom Games.

Biothing’s recent design research includes work with robotics, GPU computing, computational physics, intelligent agent systems and generative algorithms. This work expresses the beauty of emergent phenomena in a pure, uncompromising way by drawing on new resonances between matter and computation, both screen-based and through robotically fabricated material artifacts.

The session begins at 2:00 p.m. at UCSD in the Structural & Materials Engineering Building, Room 149. The event is free and open to the public. A Q&A follows.
