Trailer Overkill

New trailers for a pair of TV series, Minority Report on Fox, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on The CW, and the movie Minions, have been released this week.

In Minority Report, based on the Steven Spielberg film, “a man haunted by the future and a cop haunted by her past, as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen.”

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow requires “Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter [to] assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet…and to time itself.”

Minions trailer #3 shows the minions from the dawn of history.

  1. Is it shallow of me to admit that the Fox show Grandfathered with John Stamos and Josh Peck as a long lost father & son looks really, really funny?

Yeah, Minority Report could be okay too, but it looks as expensive to produce as last year’s robot cop show.

  2. Good to see that the Washington Nationals are still around in 2065!

Since “Minority Report” has a scene in “Bartlet Plaza,” is it in the same universe as “The West Wing?”

  3. I am not fond of the Berlantiverse character of Ray Palmer (I ship him with fifty bees; the official ship name is 50 Bees of Ray), but I am excited about Legends of Tomorrow because it gives me hope that they won’t torpedo or even overly hobble their fun, successful TV universe in order to clearcut a path for the cinematic universe they’re trying to build on the foundation of Man of Steel.

  4. That’s actually a terrific trailer for Legends Of Tomorrow. Slow build to action! Action! (Banter!) Action!

  5. The shot of the Gateway Arch in the Legends of Tomorrow is not CGI — I know that view because I have walked on that open lot and field, slightly north and west of the center of downtown St. Louis.
