  1. And as an FYI, I e-mailed the tour organizers at the e-mail address provided on the Sasquan site for such things, because there was no Departure Point listed that I could find.

At least for the Lake Cruise, the Point of Departure is “the Convention Center at the entrance across the street from the Davenport Grand Hotel”.

  2. Delurking to heartily recommend checking out the Inland Northwest Ale Trail if you have any interest in craft beers. We have had an explosion in craft breweries in the last few years, eight of them just within a forty-five minute walk (or quick taxi ride) of downtown. If you can’t make the organized tour, there’s a map for self-guided strolls on the Inland Northwest Ale Trail website.

Also, true facts: Spokane has the nation’s second largest urban waterfall, and Lake Coeur d’Alene the world’s longest floating boardwalk. And if anyone is ambitious enough to bring their bike, there’s a paved trail that runs the thirty-some miles from the riverfront in Spokane to Lake Coeur d’Alene.
