That’s awful news, though not entirely unexpected.
I haven’t seen him in ten years or more, but have good memories of playing dominoes with him on Friday nights at the West Riding pub in the ’80s. I even beat him every game one night. But only one night.
Geez! How old?
Greg, in reply to your question — Don West was born in July 1945, or so I was informed today. So his 70th birthday was just a couple of months ago. I knew him quite well in the period from about 1975 to 1985, but never knew his age until now. A sad loss.
He was 70 a couple of months ago.
D. leaves behind four children and six grandchildren — not bad going, procreation-wise.
