2017 WFC in San Antonio

Remember the Alamo, yes, but why not the names of the committee, too?

Remember the Alamo, yes, but why not the names of the committee, too?

The 2017 World Fantasy Convention will be held in San Antonio, Texas over the November 2-5 weekend.

We hope you can join us and enjoy this unique city. Known for the the Alamo (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the city of San Antonio has many other attractions including a world class zoo, art and history museums, four other missions and dozens of historical buildings, San Antonio Spurs basketball, river cruises, golf, swimming, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, shopping, dancing, carousing and history wherever you turn.

Most notable is the Riverwalk which is right outside the hotel. Spend the days walking along this lazy river scene and stop whenever you tire to have a meal and a margarita or four.

As is also true of the 2016 WFC website, the newly unveiled 2017 website doesn’t identify the committee members. But the 2017 event will be run by the Fandom Association of Central Texas (F.A.C.T.), which hosts Armadillocon and ran the World Fantasy Con in 2000 and 2006.

  1. It’s gonna be great! I love San Antonio and can’t wait to share it with everyone.

As for the committee, we just put the site together to start for memberships and brief info. I will be building a bigger site and which will list the committee as they are assigned. (We needed to won the bid first.) We expect the new site to be live by the end of the year.
