  1. Soooo we’re not getting a new Captain America film then, we’re getting an Avengers film. Captain America films are my favourites of the lot. I’m a bit miffed.

But it will still be awesome. 🙂

(Also yay Falcon if I had a precious cinnamon roll in that fandom (which I don’t, because I don’t have precious cinnamon rolls) but IF I DID Falcon would be it. Captain America would be second it. Peggy third. Black Widow fourth. Bucky fifth. Basically that series’ cast = my (not) cinnamon rolls.)

  2. Again, Squeeeee!

Also, I’m so glad to see Black Panther, and that this appears to be less mindblowingly stupid than the comicbook Civil War storyline (not that that’s a high bar to set).

  3. Is that not the Scarlet Witch floating above, behind the assembled?

(Didn”t she pass on, in the most recent AVENGERS film?) – No, that was Quicksilver (both siblings are problematic re: film rights being both Avengers and X-people but only Quicksilver has appeared in the X-Men franchise)

It looks good. I don’t know if it will be great. (I thought Winter Soldier was great.)

My kids were more hyped by this trailer than the Star Wars trailer – portent of the end times?

  6. @John Seavey: Can they make a whole movie that’s just two hours of Bucky and Cap exchanging soulful gazes and clapping each other on the shoulder? 😀

  7. @Kendall

I’m sure there are already a couple of thousand of those on AO3, based just on the stuff from the trailer.

  8. Alexandra Erin:

    My finger slipped.

I’m not sure — did I hear the strains of “Ashokan Farewell” in the background? 😉

  9. I fell asleep in the middle of the last Captain America movie, it was that boring. Think I’ll skip out on this one.

  10. *SINGS*

    I’m Ashoken as you know
but it’s time for me to go
and so I have wrote this
    Ashoken farewell

    And the irony is this
    as an earworm it persists
    Ashokens may leave but the
    song never does
