Doris Lessing Doesn’t Give a Hoot

“Oh Christ, I couldn’t care less,” Doris Lessing answered the reporters who told her she had won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

That might be the very same thing Chesley Bonestell said about a Special Hugo Award he was given in 1974, before relegating it to his bathroom to sit on the lid of his toilet tank.
