  1. 1) I really hated Michael Keaton as Batman. >.<

    2) This is not about casting, is it? It is just movies that would have been bad regardless of casting.

  2. Hmmmm. Best Castings is a pretty good list. I suspect most people’s would agree to more than half. Adding in Bale to Batman was a cheat, and he was not the perfect Batman–by my standards, and by Bales, and by Kevin Conroy’s, so leave Batman to Keaton.
I’d certainly drop off three of theirs for some strange omissions:
Magnito: either Fassbender or McKellen (young and old is less of a cheat)
    Wonder Woman: Gal Gadot
    Superman: Christopher Reeve

The last is the really odd one. I take that as THE cast of perfect casting.

    Agreed

  4. While ultimately the fault of the director and writers, I dislike Ledger’s Joker a lot. He never seems to have fun in the movie. Hamill always embodied the absurd joy of violence the Joker had and the quick mood change to rage and back again that made the character unpredictable. And yes I realize I’m asking why the Dark Knight Joker was so serious.

On the poorly cast side I also blame the directors and writers for the Green Lantern and Daredevil movies instead of the actors. Reynolds was fine as a cocky stunt pilot, it’s most of the rest of them movie that sucked. Same with Ben Affleck, I thought he did a good job as Daredevil, it’s just that the movie was trying to do him as a lawyer, a side love story and two villains all at once and didn’t balance any of them out all that well. Plus the director decided to shoot some of the action scenes in an interesting way that made a mess out of what was happening on screen.

    Yes, so much this!

Just to stick out, I didn’t like Heath Ledger as the Joker. He turned the Joker into a dime-a-dozen-psychopath that I have seen in too many boring action movies. Sure, he was a good standardized psychopath, but still going by the standard template.

On the other hand, why why WHY did they choose the same template for Lex Luthor??

EDIT: Matt Y seems to have the same idea as me.

  6. (4) It seemed clear to me that the location of the orb in GotG had simply been lost for a very long time until someone figured out where it should be. The information leaked, so you have competing teams trying to reach the site. In the “Wild West” days of archeology, this happened on a regular basis.

  7. Barry: Thats what I thought. Definitely not the same level as the other plot holes.
Worst list: The same problem as with most of the Razzies: just because the movie is bad, Dorsnt mean the actors are (and vice versa). I know some very bad petformances in good movies/Tvseries and sometimes good acting can be found in bad movies- but its hard for an actor to shine in a bad movie, playing a poorly laidout character with stupid lines.
(I do agree with some choices however. )

  8. Chris Reeve is clearly the best casting as Superman, maybe the best ever.

I thought Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne.

Rogan as Green Hornet is the worst of that batch, yes, worse than Halle Berry by a mile.
