The Helsinki Science Fiction Society has announced the nominees for the 2017 Tähtifantasia Award, given for the best translated fantasy book published in Finnish during the previous year.

- Lauren Beukes: Zoo City – Eläinten valtakunta [Zoo City] (Aula & Co, suom. Tytti Viinikainen)
- Francis Marion Crawford: Ajattomat aaveet [Timeless Ghosts] (Vaskikirjat, suom. Laura Nieminen ja Johanna Vainikainen)
- Kazuo Ishiguro: Haudattu jättiläinen [The Buried Giant] (Tammi, suom. Helene Bützov)
- Patrick Ness & Siobhan Dowd: Hirviön kutsu [A Monster Calls] (Tammi, suom. Kaisa Kattelus)
The award jury is composed of critic Jukka Halme, critic Aleksi Kuutio, author and publisher Anne Leinonen, and fantasy reporter, Osmo Määttä, representative of Risingshadow.net.
