  1. “Lord Miles Vorkosicat” – Hahahahaha, what a great name! And a very upper-class, dare I say regal, looking cat. 🙂

  2. John, “Starman Jones” is definitely the British edition; if nothing else the pre-decimal price (4 shillings and six pence) on the cover gives it away. Also, it perfectly matches the 1966 Puffin edition on my shelf. It’s the standard British paperback size of the era, approx. 7″ by 4.5″.

  3. @John: Agree about the size, and being a Puffin (Penguin) of that era the glue is probably holding up well enough to stop pages falling out. Having looked at the photo again I found myself wondering about “The Menace from Earth”. It has the cover illustration used in the UK so could the fact that – to me – it looks a bit smaller than “Starman Jones” be an effect of the perspective with this also be the British edition?

  4. The only problem I have with that wonderful cat name is…

…pets have a distressing tendency to live up to their names.

(Says the person who foolishly once named a Doberman Pincer “Taz”.)
