Editor’s Note: I have followed the translations shown in the Wikipedia article for the first three categories. Note some translator names lack diacritical marks over some letters because WordPress turns them into question marks. Thanks to Count Zero for the “Kado: The Right Answer” translation. The “Free Category” relies on Google Translate (beware!)

  1. In the Media division, Kemono Friends is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, ID-0 is on Netflix, Re:Creators is on Amazon Prime.

Finally, a correction: “Corrector CAD” is actually Kado: The Right Answer (the official site listing the nominees links to the site for the series.

Anyway, Kado is available for streaming from Crunchyroll and Funimation.

  2. @Count_Zero: Ah, we have a 3(?) month subscription to Crunchyroll right now, and there’s an Amazon account I can borrow, arigato.

  3. The anime part of the Media division cast a wide net.

ID-0 is a CG mech show with a side order of what makes someone human and do you have to be bound by your past. C+/B-

Re:Creators is in part an anime take on the old DC story of having comic book characters going to Earth Prime. B+

Kemono Friends is what happens when you give a studio some pocket change to make an anime for an unknown mobile game without any supervision. B+

Kado: The Right Answer is a mess. Some good ideas that get thrown in a pit and set on fire by the end. A/ who thought that was a good idea and were they on drugs.

  4. Yeah, Kemono Friends is mostly light and fluffy, ‘Friendship is Magic’ sort of stuff, with some seriously disturbing backstory if you think about it. The fact that the series didn’t come out until after the game it was based on got shut down is kind of ironic given the premise of the show.

Kado: The Right Answer… I didn’t take this anywhere near as badly as a lot of people seemed to, but I definitely see why people took it badly. Fascinating ideas. but nobody had any idea how to end it.
