Every year Origins and GenCon, two gaming conventions, donate part of their auction proceeds to charity. This year Fisher House Foundation received $17,398 from GenCon. The Foundation, previously mentioned here by Francis Hamit, moved up when the first choice, Christian Children’s Fund (reportedly a favorite of the late Gary Gygax) declined to accept money raised in part from Gygax’s signature work, the Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game.
