Maybe someday we’ll get “first realistic AI in a movie.” “Ex-Machina” deserves a nod for using authentic machine-learning terminology and using it (mostly) correctly.
For me, the experience was a bit like watching a movie with an interstellar spaceship where all the terminology is correct, but for a chemical-powered craft. All the steps are right, it’s just the result that’s impossible.
Long time since I saw it, but shouldn’t Colossus (1970) take the place of Wargames?

On the other hand, I still say that Wargames is one of the most accurate depictions of ‘hacking’ that Hollywood has ever done.
