A Small, Angry Planet On Sale

Harper Voyager recently acquired The Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, the “rollicking space adventure” praised by several File 770 commenters.

To get everybody psyched up about this book, the publisher today is running a one-day offer — a Nook super-discount price of $1.99 for the eBook edition.

Long way

(The same price is available for the Amazon Kindle edition.)

  1. “Recently” as in they published it in July. But the sale is awesome!

Copyright info says the US version is July 2015 and the UK version (Hachette) was also 2015 — does that settle the Hugo eligibility question?

  2. @lurkertype

I think I ‘ve seen someone (John Lorentz?) say that the Hugo administrators often use the copyright date, but I’m not certain!

  3. FWiW, this was a really good book. I’m not sure if it qualifies, but apparently Chambers does qualify for the Campbell, and she’s on my (quite short ATM) longlist for that.

  4. Just checked my ebook, and the copyright date is actually 2014. If you look at the Amazon (US) listing, you can still see the no-longer-available paperback from CreateSpace Independent Publishing dated July 29, 2014.
