AudioFile, a print and ezine, reviews audiobooks to “recommend good listening, top-notch performances and dynamic listening experiences.” The editors annually honor their choices of the best audiobooks across a variety of categories.
This year File 770 is partnering with AudioFile to announce the winners of the 2017 Best of Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Audiobooks. Norse Mythology I guess is fantasy but it seems weird that historical Norse myths slightly updated would win a best new award for Fantasy. I’m glad Gaiman’s book is keeping the stories alive though.
I haven’t listened to the last Jemisin yet, but the first two were outstanding in audio. Robin Miles is a first-rate narrator, for anyone looking to dip a toe into audio. Gaiman is too, for that matter.
