The game itself, referred to here as Project Tingler, is a dating simulator wherein players attempt to seduce a range of characters informed by the Chuck Tingle oeuvre.

Someone’s putting LSD in my coffee, again.
I must go spread that latest Wombat writing everywhere.
Well, a couple places online, not everywhere.
The end boss of that game must be seducing the game itself.
(Or seducing the concept of seducing the game itself)
This where I admit that I only just realized that the same actor (Enrico Colantoni) was in Person of Interest and Just Shoot Me.
Just shoot me.
re: Bill Nye show.
EXCELLENT!! Love Bill Nye, love good science shows…but gotta wait ’til 2017. :-/
And the library already has “Behind the Throne”! Into the hold queue it goes.
Jeez, people. I guess it takes a computer geek to fix the problem…

I hope something thought to save a copy before we all started messing with it at once.
Well, I guess now that we have read/write permissions, we could just restore the room from backup…

Too late; the most recent backup was before the Shoggoth started adding dimensions.
@Ryan,
I’m just wondering what exactly someone might use the execute permissions for …
Also: Oh, no! I have been u(n)masked!

OK, I wanted to help, so I was going to sweep the corners, but the corners here are really strange.
And where am I supposed to put these old bottles? And why do the little suspended pieces of lead keep vibrating at me?
Oh, are those what the picture-monoliths have been emitting?
I have been enjoying this thread immensely. Perhaps the basement waa created to contain my vast amusement.
@Christian Brunschen:
Hmm, let’s see. . Are there any strange devices that can be switched on around here?
Dear Ms. Wombat, I loved your poem. I was going to share it with the lovely folks at Captain Awkward but somebody beat me to it.
Another commentator there linked to this delightful response piece:
I am digging all the scorn and sarcasm the internet is heaping on the original piece 🙂
@David Goldfarb: Oor Wombat recently posted this bit of brilliance on her LiveJournal.
Thanks for sharing. She has such a way with words.
Red Wombat wins the intarwebs today!
Man, this thread is something else. (An unnamable something,,,)
@Mallory & @Arifel: Groovy, thanks! Arifel, comparing it to The Goblin Emperor makes it interest me even more. Okay, not that I have much time, but I shall read the sample soonly. 😀 (This is step one in moving it to my “buy list,” which may lead to the “read soon list,” which may lead to being read. It’s a lengthy process. I’d like to retire so I can just read 24/7.)
@David Goldfarb: ROFL, oh my, that’s superb. Thanks to linking to RedWombat’s poem. I also like this comment (a sort of reaction/sequel, which RedWombat highfive’s).
@Mallory & @Arifel: I read the sample and liked it a lot; I’m putting this on my buy list. Thanks again. 🙂
It’s a million to one chance, but it might just work.
@JJ
Same here. So happy to have found y’all.
ETA those last few bits of poetry finally did me in and made me collapse in a surfeit of tenderness.
Faux Scroll, apologies if somebody posted it earlier and I missed it…
