The WestSideCon bid to hold Westercon 71 (2018) in Denver now identifies the members of the committee on its website:
Nikki Ebright – Con Co-Chair (should we win the bid)
Peter J Wacks – Con Co-Chair (should we win the bid)
Keith McClune – Bid Chair
Sheila McClune – Bid party coordinator
David Boop
Billy Van Ark – Bid treasurer
Lou Berger
The bid ran a party at the recent San Diego Westercon where some or all of this info may have been available — now it’s online too.
The proposed Denver Westercon would be run by the nonprofit Stories for Students and hosted at the Myths and Legends Convention. (The 2018 Westercon bid is for July 4. This year’s MALcon will be held in August. The implication is it can move to the earlier date in 2018.)
The Board of Directors for Stories for Students is Peter J Wacks, Nikki Ebright, Billy Van Ark, and Jessica Brawner.

Since I wasn’t at San Diego Westercon, I would like to know what is the exact
site proposed for Denver Westercon. Is it downtown, out at the airport or some-
where else?

There are links in the article above to the web site for the bid, which includes an embedded YouTube video of their presentation at (as they say) “Westercon ’68”, and to the website for the “Myths and Legends Convention” which they propose will “host” Westercon. Those are both more likely sources for this info than the widely-distributed readership of File 770. This year’s Myths and Legends Convention will be at the Ramada Plaza Denver North.
