Robert Heinlein will be one of four additions to the Hall of Famous Missourians, confirms the Kansas City Star, along with osteopath Andrew Taylor Still, women’s voting rights advocate Virginia Minor and former Congressman Mel Hancock.

Missouri’s Speaker of the House Tim Jones, who makes the selections, this year for the first time ran a poll to pick two new hall members — Still and Heinlein winning — and supplemented the voters’ choices with two of his own.

A bronze bust of Heinlein will eventually go on display in the state Capitol.
