  1. Let’s be realistic here – it’s only a model.

    ETA: Fuck! 40 years! I’m 42! This was one of the most important experiences of my teenage years that didn’t involve smooching!*

    * except when it did.**

    ** Give us a break – we could recite the movie’s dialog start to finish from memory.

  2. See if you can spot Iain M. Banks in the big battle scene at the end. They hired a bunch of university students from Stirling University just down the road from where they were filming for the crowd scenes.

  3. Saw it in the theater on its US release. As you know it ends with the film just running out. And then this peppy organ music started playing. So there I was in a theater full of people just laughing at a blank screen listening to organ music. Every time the organ music seemed to be winding down only to start up again, people would laugh harder. We really laughed when the curtain closed in front of the screen. Not sure how they finally got us to leave.

  4. Also saw it in the theater back in 1975 when I was a teenager, and I so wanted Galahad to face the peril.
