Pratchett Is a Perpetual Favorite

Terry Pratchett is the top author on The Bookseller’s first-ever “evergreen” list of titles that have never fallen out of the top 5,000 since Nielsen BookScan began collecting data. There are only 12 “evergreen” books. Three of them are Pratchett’s early Discworld novels The Colour of Magic, Mort and The Light Fantastic (all Corgi). The only other fantasy novel on the chart is J R R Tolkien’s The Hobbit (HarperCollins). Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time (Bantam), a 1989 Hugo Best Related Book nominee, is also listed.
