Sawyer Joins Privacy Debate in Switzerland

Robert J. Sawyer will travel to Switzerland in May to publicly debate Susan N. Herman, president of the American Civil Liberties Union, on the motion “Resolved: Privacy is
an outdated concept.” Sawyer will take the affirmative position, and Herman will take the negative.

Their debate will be part of the 44th St. Gallen Symposium, at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, on May 9. Peter Day, business correspondent for BBC News, will moderate.
