SLF Awards Older Writers Grant

Congratulations to Shauna Roberts, who will receive the Speculative Literature Foundation’s Speculative Literature Foundation’s eighth annual Older Writers Grant.

The $750 grant is intended to assist writers who are fifty years of age or older at the time of the grant application, and who are just starting to work at a professional level.

Roberts’ “Bosphorus Dreams,” her entry for the Older Writers Grant, is the first of three stories set in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and will appear in the anthology, A Quiet Shelter There, scheduled for publication this fall by Hadley Rille Books.

The full press release follows the jump.
