Oh noes! I can’t possibly vote for Mike Glyer if Vox Day recommends him! Sorry Mike!!
oh gods lol
Obvs ETA: Hugo nomination-worthy Fifth!
Son of ETA: Congrats Mike???
Well, screw that guy.
I suspect that very few RPs will have coughed up the money to be able to have voting rights this time so I think his endorsement is fairly meaningless.
“HAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAH – people voted for the best nominees, of which I recommended a few! This shows that they all are my puppets! ARISTOTLE!!!!!”
Meh.
I find it funny that he’s no-awarding 4 of his own nominees in Graphic Story.
Whatevs.
He’ll certainly get one thing correct if he puts himself below No Award. And let’s play spot the damage limitation on SRBI
Wow – pretty harsh rankings on Superversive, Sci-Phi and Brian Niemmer. As faustian bargains go that was pretty bad.
So – five probable winners, a couple of other possible ones. Clearly the RP movement is victorious!
(Can there be any justification for publishing a recommended voting list? With nominations, it can be represented as drawing attention to worthy stuff, etc. But at the voting stage we all already know what the candidates are, so should be able to make up our own minds.)
(EDIT: He may claim he isn’t recommending it, just saying how he voted. However, the heading ‘Rabid Puppies Ballot’ casts doubt on that – unless he’s accepting that the RP movement consists entirely of himself.)
My votes are already in, so this won’t affect my ballot at all. But I see he’s thrown a lot of his own nominations under the bus.
@Camenestros
I think with Superversive and Sci Phi, there might be some USAian politics involved – Teddy is very much on side of that great small government conservative virtue, total obedience to the The Leader, whereas a bunch of the other puppy types have enough vestiges of philosophical consistency to prefer Ted Cruz.
He’s consistent in one thing – backing a novel that he tried to keep off the ballot, just ilke last year.
As if I listened to Teddy about anything…
And Ted Beale continues his sprint to get in front of the parade.
I’ve got most of my voting done. Nothing he posts changes my voting. Not letting the Voxman play his sooper duper genius mind games with me. So typical of him to vote off his nominations – putting them under NA even. VD personifies the saying with friends like this who needs enemies.
