“When you need to stop an asteroid, you get Superman. When you need to solve a mystery, you call Batman. But when you need to end a war, you get Wonder Woman.” – Gail Simone

  1. Huh…definitely doesn’t get me excited for the film. But, then again, I burnt out on the superhero films a while ago.

Also, terrible music choice. Ugh. I can’t wait till the Hans Zimmer sound and droning gets outta these films and trailers.

  2. I like!

The trailer looks as if WW joins America to fight the evil Germans, but I assume they are just funning us.

  3. Why precisely is this set in WWI, when Wonder Woman didn’t appear until 1942?

Also evil Germans, how original…. not.

  4. That there are actual colours seems to be a good sign. Cautiously optimistic.

    Please don’t suck.

  5. Cautiously optimistic as well. It’s wildly different, but for some reason, this makes me want to go re-read George Perez’s run on Wonder Woman. 🙂

  6. I wonder if they decided to use WW1 specifically because it is not considered a war of good guys vs bad guys but rather a tragedy created by a devotion to the ideas about nation states prevalent at the time.

This may give a bit more scope for a moral conversation about conflict and war than would be possible if the background were WII.
