Worldcon 76 Gaming

[From a press release.]

The gaming department for WorldCon is pleased to announce that WorldCon 76 will have an open gaming area for convention attendees. The convention has provided a large room for our use, which will be open 24 hours a day. We will be scheduling short games and demonstrations, and have a library and resource area out for anyone who wishes to browse through games or learn something new between panels and events. For games not intended for all ages, there will be a separate room open late for adult players to enjoy.

We are looking for attendees who are interested in volunteering to run or play in demonstration tabletop RPG, board or miniature games during the convention. Most games will be of short duration, suitable for play between other programming events.

We will have a wide variety of RPG, board, miniature and eurogames available. Our intent is to promote diversity in games and players, so you can expect representation from indie creators from all walks of life, as well as mainstream game companies. The gaming staff are ready to help all our guests find something to play, and to provide a fair, fun, and respectful gaming experience at WorldCon.

Our games on tap include (but are not limited to): Dungeon World, Urban Shadows, Blue Rose, Monsterhearts, Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple, Lady Blackbird,The Watch, Fate, Star Wars, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Ninja Burger, Chez Geek, Artemis and a variety of card and board games.

If you wish to volunteer, or have any questions or suggestions, our contact email is: [email protected]

[Thanks to Rose Embolism for the story.]
