2014 Hugo Nominations Officially Open

Maybe that was “soft opening” over the weekend when the Loncon 3 website said they were already taking nominations?

But electronic voting did not come online until today.

Now it’s Showtime! If you have your PIN —

All members eligible to nominate will be issued with a personal Hugo PIN to validate their nominating ballot.  PINs are going out in batches; all those eligible to nominate for the Hugo Awards this year will receive one.  Eligible individuals who have lost their PIN, or haven’t received it, should contact [email protected].  Any other questions about the process or the Hugo Awards should be directed to [email protected].

Nominations must be received by March 31. The nominees will be announced on Saturday, April 19.

There also remains a short time to enter the competition to design the 2014 Hugo Award base. The theme of the base must highlight London, “one of the truly great international cities and a frequent feature of genre literature.“ Design proposals will be accepted until January 17 and the winner will be selected by January 31.
