It’s interesting that their Short Work winner is Science Fiction (though I wholeheartedly agree with their choice!).
The Poppy War is Fantasy as well. Nice genre picks!
The Stabby Awards are for Fantasy, given by Reddit’s Fantasy group. That’s why the Murderbot choice is unusual.
Despite the name, the subreddit is fine with speculative fiction as a whole (as mentioned in their sidebar).
Plus, Martha Wells is a fan favorite.
And here I was thinking Stabby = Mystery. Ha!
That would be the CWA Dagger Award, which is indeed a mystery and crime fiction award.
Will Wight’s series looks interesting enough that I bought book #1 in the series. Ghostwater is book #5.
