A. Bertram Chandler Award 2021 Goes to Perry Middlemiss

Perry Middlemiss is the winner of the 2021 A. Bertram Chandler Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Australian Science Fiction.”

The Chandler, Australia’s premier award for lifetime achievement in science fiction, is a juried award named for the country’s best-known science fiction writer, and given by the Australian Science Fiction Foundation.

Fanwriter and editor Perry Middlemiss is a five-time Ditmar nominee and winner of the 1988 award as Best Australian Fan Writer. He was the Down Under Fan Fund delegate to L.A.con III. Middlemiss co-chaired Aussiecon 4, the 2010 Worldcon. With David Grigg, he now hosts the Two Chairs Talking podcast.

  1. Congratulations to Perry. I’ve been receiving his zines Perryscope and The Alien Review. Even leaving aside his podcast (which I haven’t listened to), he’s deserving.
