SAN ANTONIO, Texas — LoneStarCon 3, the 71st World Science Fiction Convention (“Worldcon”), will open hotel booking to all members from 8 AM Central Time on Monday, January 21.

Accommodations for LoneStarCon 3 members will be provided by two hotels: the Marriott Rivercenter and the Marriott Riverwalk. During the day, most of the Convention will be held in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Evening events, including the spectacular Hugo Awards Ceremony and Masquerade, will be held in the Marriott Rivercenter.

Both hotels are conveniently situated near the convention center and offer easy access to the San Antonio River Walk (Paseo del Rio) in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The River Walk, a pedestrian-only, fully wheelchair-accessible foot path, offers direct access to the convention center without having to face street traffic. Major attractions in the area include the San Antonio Zoo, shopping at the Rivercenter Mall (connected to the Rivercenter hotel), and the cultural and historical landmarks of San Antonio, such as the world-famous Alamo.

All LoneStarCon 3 facilities are nonsmoking and both Marriot hotels have the same room rates: $154 plus tax for single or double occupancy, and $175 plus tax for triple or quad occupancy. Both hotels have also extended their room service availability to 24 hours for the duration of the convention.

Sleeping rooms must be booked directly by members, using the Passkey reservation system.

Suite bookings for the Marriott Rivercenter must be made via the LoneStarCon 3 suites team rather than directly with the hotel.
