Nominations Open for 2021 Dragon Awards

The Dragon Awards website has reset and is now taking nominations for the 2021 awards.

I tested the site and was informed my nomination had been accepted —

Eligible works are those first released between 7/1/2020 and 6/30/2021.

The deadline to make nominations is July 19, 2021. The initial batch of final ballots will be released in August 2021.

Dragon Con says they will attempt to notify all nominees by August 2, 2021.

  1. Oh, they plan to notify finalists next year? Instead of just letting them puzzle out what they are getting congratulated for after the announcement?

  2. Well, who wouldn’t want to be a Dragon Award nominee now that actually popular books can win?

  3. And they even updated the front page of their website!
Darn it, now I can’t make snarky remarks 😠

Oh wait…you have to agree to the rules to nominate but if you click on the rules it just takes you to main page! 😏 Order is restored to the universe!

  4. I think you can nominate something else in another category, but not change. Of course, you can always use another email address! 😛

  5. bill: Laura’s answer is also the way I understand it. Once I nominate in a category, that’s locked in, but I could go back and fill in blanks.

  6. If it’s November, it must be Dragon nominating season.

Remember, people, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Don’t exhaust yourself making nominations now only to remember later that there’s still another seven months to nominate.

    Happy New Dragon Year everybody!
