Sasquan, the 2015 Worldcon, has awarded two SMOFcon Scholarships to outstanding first-time Worldcon volunteers, Beck Prigot and Cherise Kelley.
The scholarships will help them attend SMOFcon 33 in Dallas/Fort Worth TX, December 4-6, 2015.

Sasquan clearly has lots of excess cash left over, and it’s nice to see that they’re spending it on appropriate fannish projects.
My entire family already (before the end of September) received refunds of our membership fees (two of us as staff, one as a program participant).
Beck was a staffer at Pi-Con (Springfield, Mass.) for many years, including a stint as Volunteer Coordinator. She’s great to work with, and Sasquan has made an excellent choice.
