I cannot believe The Good Place got snubbed. It’s the smartest, best comedy on TV.
And it’s a fantasy show, so it’s Hugo eligible.
I thought that Get Out was a horror film? How did it end up in Best Comedy or Musical?
Same way the Martian did. Only even more wildly off base.
Director Jordan Peele suggested it might have been better classed as “documentary.”
Ivan Bromke: Director Jordan Peele suggested it might have been better classed as “documentary.”
Not incompatible with “horror film”, unfortunately.
@JJ: Not incompatible with “horror film”, unfortunately.
Sad but so true. One critic called Get Out ‘Bar bs gur orfg svyzf rire znqr nobhg fynirel’, which is pretty much on target. How anyone could label it a comedy escapes me.
CoCo should be a shoo-in for best animated film. “Remember Me” is a great song, I need to go YouTube “Home” for a comparison.
