Nominees for the 56th Seiun Awards, the Japanese speculative fiction award honoring the best works of the previous calendar year, were announced May 11. The winners will be announced in mid-July 6 and the awards ceremony will be held August 31 at Kamacon, the 63^rd Japan Science Fiction Convention, to be held in Tokyo.
