Isn’t “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” a genre show? If Ellison received a certificate for it, shouldn’t it have been listed as well?
Oh, and “Playhouse 90” had genre episodes as well.
I always thought of Alfred Hitchock’s show as “weird crime” — how close is that to sf & f? But Ellison’s script for that series wasn’t genre — “Memos From Purgatory” is about somebody who wants to write a book about a juvenile street gang and researches his subject by joining one. Ellison used his own experiences in that line for a nonfiction book, too.
ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS had a Ray Bradbury adaptation on it, “Marrionettes, Inc.” About robots.
