Filer Meetup at Pemmi-Con on Sunday July 23
A photograph refreshingly free of those ghastly plastic masks.
And yet people are still dying every day of Covid, concentrated in the age range of the veteran Con goer. (Granted, higher rates in the USA than Canada because of their higher vaccination rates) A few months ago my older sister and her husband came home from a US fun convention weekend infected. They’d worn masks most of the time, but not for eating and some exceptions. They made it through… that time.
Dang it, I forgot.
The reason we aren’t wearing masks in the picture is because the meet-up and picture-taking were outside in the open air. I assure you that we were all wearing masks inside the hotel.
I’d say mask use was maybe 80-85% throughout the con.
And I don’t remember why I wasn’t smiling in this picture either.
Maybe you forgot to tell your face you were enjoying yourself. Happens to me, going by my own experience with photos.
