THE 27TH DAY was an anti communist film. It has some good ideas, but it is badly dated. Its biggest flaw is the idea of selective genocide, suggested by alien outsiders who want to “peacefully colonize’ the earth, by giving several people the means to wipe out people inr a few thousand square miles.

John Mantley (who wrote THE 27TH DAY) has impressive credits as a TV producer, which included BUCK ROGERS, and one episode of THE OUTER LMITS, with “Behold Eck”.
