By John Hertz: I’m told that in Islam there’s an image of the Bridge (as-Siraat) to Heaven. On one side is credulity, undue willingness to believe. On the other is skepticism, undue willingness to doubt. The Bridge is a razor’s edge, and below are the fires of Hell.
Not being a Muslim, I can’t commend this to you particularly. Some people say they find it frightening. I find it inspiring.
