Japan will open the world’s first robot-run hotel in July.
I was thinking they will need their own Three Laws of Hotel Robotics:
- A robot must not, through inaction, lose the tip….
- A robot must bring the orders requested by human beings, except where there is no credit card on file…
- A robot must avoid being stolen along with the towels…
The hotel will be part of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki which is modeled on a 17th century Dutch town. Initially, half of the staff will be robots, but in the future the park hopes more than 90% of its services will be delivered by robots.
