The New Mexico Book Co-Op has announced the winners of the 2024 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. The complete list is here. The winners of genre interest are:

This is the 18th year of the New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards program. Almost 1,000 books were received in this year’s program, in 47 categories or genres. There are 56 winners in 47 categories this year, with 7 ties due to virtually same average scores.

Every book was judged by at least three judges — booksellers, librarians, teachers, book marketing experts, as well as avid book readers. There were 91 judges in this year’s program, from all across the U.S.
