Bisexual Book Awards 2017 Finalists

The Bi Writers Association (BWA) released the Bisexual Book Awards 2017 finalists on May 3.

Each one of our nine book categories had a team of judges who carefully read, assessed, critiqued and discussed every book before voting on their merits. The number of finalists in each category varies, based on the number of books submitted to that category and the quality of the books.

All the books submitted for consideration are listed here.

So that’s where pamphlets come from…

  2. The Seafarer’s Kiss has a very groovy cover, and woo-hoo, In Other Lands is a finalist in . . . the Teen/YA category? Hmm, The Seafarer’s Kiss is also YA. as ar at least one or two others in the SFF category. I guess that comes from letting folks submit to a category.

BTW I’ve just read descriptions for a few books so far, but there are at least three with mermaids in them! LOL. There may be more.

    Anyway, huzzah for the finalists!

@Ctein: In fairness, they could be bi, but celibate. 😉

  3. Dear Kendall,

Well, I wasn’t thinking it had to be these particular books. They could also be pamphletless by choice. Happily, we now live in a world where bibliology is not destiny.

  4. “Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado, Graywolf Press”

As it happens I’ve been following Amazon sales rankings for a bunch of books over the last week (for a little personal project I’m doing), including this one. I just wanted to say this book has been selling like gangbusters for some reason. I mean, BIG sales — more than Correias, more than some Scalzis. Lots of people seem to be liking it!
