  1. Weirdly, Al Yankovic has said he wouldn’t do My Corona as a variation on his My Bologna which itself was a parody of The Knack’s My Sharona, but then The Knack remade My Sharona into Bye Corona. There seem to be several Bye Corona videos on YouTube so look for the one by Berton Averre and Prescott Niles.

Weird Al did One More Minute on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as something of a Social Distancing anthem. (It’s a bit of a stretch, but the songs fun.)

  2. I saw the two Hamilton videos and thoughts “Whaoo? Huh?” Then saw the note. chef’s kiss

  3. @AJ, you’re welcome. While I’d of course seen these many times before, their presence in my list is because for whatever reason, they popped up in the YouTube search/playlist “next” sequences.
Other of my favorite “cheering up” songs are from the March 2017 Flash/Supergirl/etc TV crossover – “Put A Little Love in Your Heart” and “I’m Your (Super) Friend” (the in-scroll link to the second no longer works, but you can use the one in this comment.

  4. Thanks, I needed some humor!

Chris Mann has another one, a very heartwarming thanks to everyone on the front lines of the pandemic. “Thank U Frontline,” a spoof of Alanis Morisette’s “Thank U.” Perhaps too serious for the light-hearted post, but I’ll link it anyway:

  5. The pets will thrive!

And a more obscure one from a Stanford University choir family
