Cwirko-Godycki Shows Bradbury-Inspired Art

Lion — inspired by The Veldt. (Image from artist’s website.)

By John King Tarpinian: On Saturday, Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, CA, established in 1894, hosted their first ever artist exhibition inspired by an author. For the first exhibition they selected George Cwirko-Godycki, an artist whose work was inspired by Ray Bradbury. Why did they select Bradbury for this first event? For a decade or two Ray would do a signing at this bookshop each Halloween.

I am not sure which of my poor photos Mike will select to show but I was able to recognize each story the illustration was based on without having to read the title.

George Cwirko-Godycki is a freelance artist and illustrator based in San Francisco.

  1. That’s some really nice work. Anyone know how much, if any, of it was produced and published in 2015..?

  2. @John King Tarpinan

Do you know if the prints are available online at all? I had a poke around the artist’s website and didn’t find anything, but that’s as far as I got and I might’ve just missed it.
