LA. Premiere of EMPEROR NORTON THE MUSICAL

BUXOM BEAUTIES! NERVY NEWSBOYS! VEXING VILLAINS! MELODIOUS MUTTS!

Emperor Norton the Musical is a rollicking, hilarious tribute to the one and only Emperor of the United States.

Written by Mt. Washington residents Kim Ohanneson and Marty Axelrod, Emperor Norton the Musical has had three, successful runs in San Francisco and is making its Los Angeles debut on November 7th.

Based on a true story, businessman Joshua Norton lost his fortune and his mind and proclaimed himself “Emperor of the United States” in post-Gold Rush San Francisco. Thanks to the free-wheeling spirit of the infamous Barbary Coast and its colorful characters, Emperor Norton went on to print his own money, conceive the Bay Bridge, propose to the Queen of England, befriend Mark Twain and become the most beloved San Franciscan of the 19th Century.

There are no advance ticket sales, but phone reservations will be honored. The theater takes cash and credit cards at the door. Tickets are $15 for all shows.

The venue is Zombie Joe’s Underground Theater (aka ZJU), 4850 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.
The number for reservations is 818 202 4120
