Masked Filers Reading SFF:
The Last Hero

Anthony proudly explains:

I have a new 3d printer and time on my hands!

While he reads Terry Pratchett’s The Last Hero, his dual-purpose mask filters air and makes people want to maintain their social distance (at least).

  1. Impressive, but is that mask at all comfortable to wear? It looks like it might be uncomfortable enough to discourage going masked when needed.

  2. It needs work. For the photo I had it hooked round my ears but it really needs to be secured round the back of my head. Also, as I have a full beard the seal is bad, and the top two legs obstruct my vision to some extent.

It’s not an original design, I put it together from three existing models, but I have an idea lifted from a completely different project for giving the legs some gripping power so it wouldn’t need straps. Have to see how bored I get!

  3. Excellent! Terrific idea, delightful execution. Thanks for levitying up my day!

  4. @Anthony: Awesome! This made me grin at just the right time (is there a wrong time?), so thanks. 😀
